Matthew McDuffie is an accomplished screenwriter and educator with three decades of experience crafting narratives for major studios like HBO, Showtime, and Warner Bros. His distinguished career includes collaborating with the producers of ER, Shameless, and Saving Private Ryan. Matthew wrote and directed the 2015 Austin Film Festival centerpiece Burning Bodhi and co-wrote The Face of Love, starring Annette Bening, which debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival.

McDuffie’s accolades include a WGA Award nomination for The Stranger Beside Me. His body of work encompasses adaptations of Meg Wolitzer’s Surrender, Dorothy for Diane Keaton and the Vince Vaughn-led film A Cool, Dry Place, alongside creating Lifetime's Odd Girl Out. Based in New Mexico, he serves as a Professor of Practice at UNM, where he has been shaping the next generation of storytellers for over twenty years.
